Lip skin is roughly five times thinner than skin elsewhere on the body and has almost no oil glands of its own — which is why lips chap, darken and dry out faster than anywhere else. Atheelaina’s Natural Lip Care Formula is deliberately gentle: a fine botanical powder you mix with coconut oil, so every application is cushioned by an oil base rather than going on raw.
Rice and beetroot extracts work on tone, while mild fruit acids lift away dry, flaking surface skin. Made for dry, dull or darkened lips, once or twice a week.
Pack size: 30 g — roughly 60 applications, or six months and more at twice-weekly use. Store sealed in a cool, dry place away from humidity.
- Take a small pinch (about half a gram) into a clean bowl.
- Add a few drops of coconut oil and mix to a soft paste.
- Massage very gently onto the lips for a few seconds, then leave for 10–15 minutes.
- Rinse with lukewarm water and follow with a balm or a little more coconut oil.
Start with once a week. If your lips take to it well you can go up to twice a week, but no further — twice weekly is the ceiling for lip exfoliation, and going past it strips the barrier rather than smoothing it.
Before you start
- Patch test. Apply a small amount to the inner forearm and wait 24 hours before first use.
- Mix fresh every time. Never keep leftover paste — beetroot preparations spoil quickly once wet.
- Beetroot may leave a light natural tint on the lips. This fades on its own.
- Do not use on cracked, broken or cold-sore affected lips.
- For external use only. Avoid swallowing and keep out of reach of children.
- Rice extract — a soft, traditional brightener for a more even lip tone.
- Beetroot extract — the natural source of the deep red pigment long used across the subcontinent for a rosier flush.
- Natural fruit extract — mild fruit acids that lift away dry, flaking surface skin.
May also contain: fruit peel, tree extract, licorice, coffee, multani mitti and kaolin clay. Our blends follow what each season’s harvest offers, so the supporting botanicals vary between batches. If you are sensitive or allergic to any of these, please patch test before use.
